Introduction to the best baby video monitor review

I’ve used a couple of wireless audio baby monitors in the past (hand-me-downs from friends), but recently I’ve bought and started using a baby video monitor for the first time.  The baby video monitor in question is made by Motorola and is considered by many to be the best of its kind on the market in terms of both value and quality.  It certainly has the best ratings on Amazon for its price point.  So without further ado, I will get on and continue with this review of what in my view is the best baby video monitor.

Before I purchased this Motorola baby video monitor, I set about researching what it was that constituted the best quality in baby monitors.  Here is a list of what I found to be the most important factors:

Power saving

This infant video monitor includes a rather neat eco-friendly function.  Basically, if there is a period of silence and inactivity from your baby the wireless baby monitor will switch into intelligent sleep mode for power saving.  This function obviously becomes deactivated when there is some sound or movement from your little one, or if you choose to reactivate it from your monitor handset.

Conclusion

Like I said before, this is the first time I have used a baby video monitor, but I can safely say that it is superb.  All of the features I have mentioned above seem to place it far ahead of the competition at this price level.  There are some features I don’t really need to use that often, such as the tilt function and the 2-way communication, but I’m sure a lot of mothers find this extra functionality really helpful.

I found very few complaints for this baby monitor on consumer sites around the web. One consumer did say that the 2-way communication feature can be a little loud on the receiving end and that they don’t like to use it in case they wake their baby.  It sadly doesn’t have a volume control on the camera unit to solve this.
